My Doctor Prescribed Lymecycline for my Acne….
When I was 16 I had an outbreak of spots, nothing unusual there for an average teenager. At the time I thought it was the end of the world. I became very self conscious and frustrated. The time I wanted to be out meeting boys, I was avoiding going out altogether. I started to spend all my pocket money and any money earned helping in my brother’s restaurant on creams, gels and moisturizers. I was a dream customer, anything claiming to cure or was an acne remedy I bought it. Then I started buying expensive soap treatments, with 3 step systems so lots of cleansing, toning finishing with more cream. Washing my face a lot with soap specifically for acne became a regular daily habit. I didn’t know then that overwashing stimulates the sebaceous gland, creating more sebum which creates more acne.
Spots, Pimples and Blackeads.
Looking back the majority of my friends had spots, pimples and blackeads of some description or other. While my friends and I still carried on buying the latest spot lotions I noticed my pores although a little improved was not looking clear like my friends skin. In fact my skin became sore with reddnes then rashes appeared. At first I had spots then I had lumps then I went to the doctor who said I had acne vulgaris and prescribed an acne antibiotic called Lymecycline. I really hated this acne problem I felt angry I hated looking in the mirror and seeing a new outbreak on my face. The antibiotic improved things and after four months I stopped taking it. This was an acne remedy that worked for me it left my pores clear I truly believed I had got rid of acne for good. I got my confidence back so my teenage acne gone apart from the odd spot on my face my world was no longer about to end or so I thought!
